Description
Fun, crispy tortilla chips cut into spooky Halloween shapes and baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
For the Halloween Tortilla Chips:
8–10 corn tortillas (corn tortillas get the crispiest results, but flour works too)
2–3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Place 2–3 tortillas on a microwave-safe plate and warm for 15–20 seconds to make them pliable.
3. Use Halloween cookie cutters to cut out bats, ghosts, pumpkins, or other shapes. Save tortilla scraps for extra chips.
4. Arrange shapes on prepared baking sheets without touching. Lightly brush both sides with oil.
5. Sprinkle with salt or chosen seasoning while oil is still wet so it sticks.
6. Bake 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely after 8 minutes to avoid burning.
Notes
Corn tortillas yield the crispiest chips, but flour tortillas can also be used.
Use themed cookie cutters for festive shapes.
For extra flavor, try seasoning with chili powder, smoked paprika, or garlic powder.
